History
Hairfax was founded in 1968 by Perley and Dorothy Gautreau. Today, Hairfax is still very much a family business; operated by their son, Larry Gautreau. Larry grew up in the business and uses the same personalized approach that has turned clients of Hairfax into friends for over forty years. Dorothy also remains active in the company, heading up the non-surgical solutions component of the business.

Larry has a remarkable ability to share his wealth of knowledge and personal hair restoration experience, while making you feel completely comfortable. He is non-aggressive in his approach, giving you the information you need to make an informed decision without any pressure to commit to treatment.
Our hair restoration surgeon, Dr. Gallant, graduated from the University of Ottawa with a Doctorate in Medicine, in 1990. He has been licensed to practice by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of New Brunswick since 1997. Dr. Gallant is also a member of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery.
We offer five different hair grafting techniques at our Moncton, New Brunswick location (the most available in one location), three of which Dr. Gallant has had performed himself. We have successfully completed over 4 000 hair transplant surgeries on-site, with preliminary blood work included.
Dorothy has been with Hairfax since foundation in 1968. She and Tara are our experts on non-surgical solutions. They have a keen eye for ensuring the perfect fit and subtly blending bonded hair with your natural hair.
A monthly maintenance plan is offered with our non-surgical procedures. This ensures that your bonded hair will continue to perfectly match your natural hair. It will always look healthy and authentic, so no one else will ever know you’re wearing it.
